Outside Description
The private garden is large and has the added benefit of tremendous views over the adjoining meadow towards the ford. This ancient meadow is full of kingcups and cow parsley in the summer and is periodically grazed by sheep.
There are numerous places to sit and dine in the garden and outside lights have been placed throughout the garden for your enhanced enjoyment. However, we suggest that you stay out in the garden in the dark; one of the joys of Shilton is its night sky. The relative lack of light pollution here can lead to some spectacular starry nights.
Downstairs Description
The cottage has every modern comfort; the fully fitted kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge and freezer. It is equipped for the gourmet chef with all the cookery books and equipment you should need, as well as the finest wine glasses, white bone-china place settings and a coffee machine.
There are televisions in two of the lounges and all bedrooms, together with Bose and Sound bar music systems. The library of hand picked books, information guides, and maps, as well as games for all ages is a greta place for a quiet moment. Free wifi keeps you fully connected.
The four double bedrooms upstairs sleep up to eight guests. The cottage also has a double sofa bed (in the library lounge) should anyone wish to sleep downstairs. We also have a cot, stairgate and high chair which we can provide free of charge. The garden room is a wonderful spot to sit in summer or winter.
