Outside Description

Sunny Cottage has a small, enclosed patio garden to the rear of the cottage, accessed from the kitchen and overlooked by the pretty sun room. The patio garden is fenced with an approx. 1 metre high fence and this separates the patio at Sunny Cottage from the patio garden at the neighbouring property; Cosy Cottage. You can access the patio garden externally via a right of way through the next door property’s patio.

Downstairs Description

Enter the small hall just off the off private courtyard garden, with a cloakroom and door through into the lounge. The cosy lounge with original inglenook fireplace houses a wood-burning stove.

The large kitchen/dining room has all the usual appliances such as electric fan-assisted oven, gas hob, microwave, large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and Nespresso coffee-maker. A farmhouse door leads out to the small furnished patio. A cloakroom with WC & hand basin is located just off the entrance hall.

First Floor Description

Master Bedroom Bright and spacious room with dual aspect windows and a view of the castle. King-size (5ft wide) brass bedstead with luxury pocket sprung mattress, luxury bed linen and fluffy white towels.

Bedroom Two A sunny room with dual aspect windows and a view of the castle. Twin single beds (3ft wide) with luxury pocket-sprung mattresses and luxury bed linen.

Bathroom with bath and power-shower over, hand basin and WC. Towels and luxury complimentary toiletries by the White Company provided.

Other Notes

An initial supply of wood is provided for the fire between October and April. Further supplies can be purchased from the hardware stores or fuel garages in Amble (1 mile south). The staircase has a rope handrail, but as the steps are wedge-shaped (as they wind around) may be difficult for anyone with mobility limitations.
