Outside Description

Magnolia Cottage is set in an idyllic spot next to a running stream in the Hawkcombe valley, a ten minute walk from the centre of Porlock village. The cottage is approached via a footbridge.

There is a grassed area of garden and a patio with garden furntiure and barbecue. Both areas are not enclosed but are available for guests' sole use.

Downstairs Description

Dating back to the 19th century, but the cottage has a rustic feel with all the modern comforts that you will need. The front door opens into a small hall for hanging coats. The lounge has a comfortable sofa and chairs, plus a wood-burner. The adjacent kitchen-diner is up one step and features an Aga-style range, as well as electric cooker and hob.

First Floor Description

The stairs lead up from the lounge to the first floor where the bathroom and two bedrooms are, there's one double and one twin bedroom. The bathroom comprises a bath with shower over, toilet and hand basin.

Windows Views Description

The property looks out over a the garden and the surrounding views of the combe.

Other Notes

A security deposit of £70 is required when booking this property. This will be added to the total price of your booking, and will be refunded after your stay unless the owner discovers damage to the property or its contents after your departure.

Week-long bookings are available from Saturdays. Short breaks may be available.
