Outside Description
here is a graveled area which is enclosed with a low wrought iron fence to the front of the cottage, with a bench seat upon which to admire the riverside. The front of the cottage catches the sun in the morning. To the rear of the cottage there is a small, pretty patio area with a table and chairs for 4, which catches the sun on an afternoon and is quite a sun trap on sunny days. This is also enclosed with a wrought iron gate and is useful when returning to the cottage with muddy boots, to avoid walking through the lounge!
Downstairs Description
Park on the roadside outside this pretty terraced cottage and arrive to a pretty oak porch leading to the front door.
This beautifully furnished lounge oozes luxury, comfort and is complimented by romantic, ambient lighting. The timber sash window looks out to the riverbank of the river Coquet where you may spot the occasional kayak or boat, herons, swans – and if you’re really lucky at high tide, a seal!
Leading from the stunning lounge is a most impressive kitchen and not what you’d expect to find in a quaint village cottage. The space has been cleverly designed to make this the ‘hub’ of the house, with light flooding into the room from huge windows and large roof lights.
The dining table very comfortably seats 4.
