Outside Description
The house sits within a large sub-tropical garden which is enclosed and private. There is a lawned terrace with doors leading onto it from the spacious garden room as well as the living room, from the terrace you can enjoy spectacular views of Porlock Bay towards Hurlstone Point whilst listening to the sea.
Downstairs Description
Downstairs there is a living room, and kitchen/dining room.
First Floor Description
Chapel Knap can accommodate up to 7 guests plus cot (available on request). There are three bedrooms on the first floor; one double (with king-sized bed), one twin room, and a family room with a king-sized double bed plus a single. There are two upstairs bathrooms; one with bath only and the other has a bath and shower.
Windows Views Description
The views from Chapel Knap are second-to-none, looking over Porlock Bay towards Hurlestone Point from the terrace or the garden room is breath-taking.
Tourist Attractions:
- Tropiquaria Zoo: Tropiquaria Animal & Adventure Park, a great day out for adults and children of all ages. Hold a snake or creepie-crawly in the Tropical Hall, visit the amazing puppet show and the aquarium. Outside play for hours on the full-size pirate ships or in the Indoor Play Castle. Visit website
- Dunster Castle: An ancient castle and comfortable country home with dramatic vistas and subtropical gardens. Dramatically sited on a wooded hill, a castle has existed here since at least Norman times, with an impressive medieval gatehouse and ruined tower giving a reminder of its turbulent history. - West Somerset Railway: It is Britain’s longest “Heritage” Railway running from Bishops Lydeard to the coast at Minehead. There are nine restored stations en route serving a variety of destinations. The railway runs special themed trains throughout the year and large-scale events. Visit website
